Job Introduction

Delivery Lead (Data & MI Workstream)

Competitive salary discussed on application

FTC Until  31st March 2026

London Hybrid

As a Delivery Lead, you will lead the Data & MI workstream with oversight of the development, implementation, and management of the project delivery for our Insurance Change Programme.

Saga are currently in the middle of delivering a strategically important programme which will result in the creation of an Affinity Partnership between Saga and Ageas. A key part of delivering this programme successfully is ensuring that the data & MI requirements that need to be shared between the two parties are established, built, tested and deployed. The workstream is already set up and has made good progress in the definition of the HL and LL requirements. We are now looking for additional PM support as we move into the build and test phase of the programme.

Working closely with a range of change and delivery professionals including Change Partners, Scrum Teams, the Programme Management Office, and Business Leads, you’ll facilitate the delivery of priority initiatives in line with the project scope, change request, approval and delivery process.  You will manage across functions daily to ensure project milestones and timelines are achieved, tracking issues and dependencies while managing risks to delivery.

We offer flexibility over where you work – you choose a place where you feel most comfortable and productive, either from home or in one of our hubs. There will be an occasional need to collaborate for workshops in person in London or the South East.

Main Responsibilities

As a Programme Delviery Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of projects and systems at Programme level

Other accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting the Data & MI delivery workstream lead with components of the delivery plan as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining good working relationships with project sponsors and owners.
  • Communicating across all levels to enable clear understanding of the strategy behind project needs, design and delivery approach.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Preparation and presentation of supporting project documentation to senior management across the business.
  • Having the ability to support a team of business professionals deployed across a range of projects to achieve excellent standards of productivity and quality.
  • Being an effective negotiator, balancing alternatives and seeking win-win solutions.
  • Effectively managing project team members and resources, including third parties and suppliers, always maintaining an excellent level of service and ensuring project delivery to time, budget and quality.
  • Effective communication of projects’ status and issues to business management, IT and the project teams.
  • Project governance including creation and maintenance of the project plan, highlight & progress reporting, risk and issue management.
  • Completion of Post Implementation Reviews and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Business readiness support.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Delivery Lead will have proven experience in project management, preferably involving data-intensive projects or MI systems

Whilst experience in the Insurance industry isn’t essential, a knowledge of personal lines home and motor insurance would be of advantage.

Other skills required would include:

  • A good technical understanding of data delivery approaches, with the ability to work fluently across development and test teams as well as into the programme management.
  • Proven experience of managing cross-functional stakeholders and change management.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are beneficial.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project success.
  • Project execution.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management up to C-Level colleagues.
  • Ability to identify potential risks in project delivery and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
